Today we analyzed TV1 News at Midday.
We found that most of the news stories were geared towards and represented Caucasian people in a
non-threatening way, and the one story that featured prominently Maori people was the gang-related homicide, which when starkly compared to the "firearm incident" story about two Caucasian men, shun Maori people in an unfairly negative and ignorant light.
